Carmel’s thoughtful garden designs not only nurture your well being but harmonise with and enhance the surrounding natural and built environments. She prioritises the use of local materials to instill a strong sense of place and is passionate about integrating Australian native plant species to boost biodiversity and provide habitats for beneficial wildlife. The versatility and aesthetic appeal of these Australian species offer endless possibilities, seamlessly aligning with contemporary design trends and enhancing the beauty of your outdoor space.
Carmel, at Serendipity Garden Designs, is eager to discuss your ideas and specific site requirements. During the Garden Design consultation, I will actively engage with you to explore your style preferences, essential design elements, budget, and timeline. This consultation, which lasts between 1 and 1.5 hours, does incur a fee. Following the meeting, you will receive a detailed design fee proposal via email for your review
While collaborating with you, I will develop a Concept Landscape Design Plan. Your input and feedback are crucial in crafting the best possible design for your garden. This plan will include a scaled black and white landscape concept plan, planting schedule, and material choices.
At this stage, you will have the opportunity to make any necessary adjustments to ensure the design meets your needs
Not all landscape construction projects require Council approval. I thoroughly assess the need for approval based on your vision for the outdoor space during the Concept Design stage. If your project does require approval, I will inform you during the initial consultation or the Concept Design stage. I will clearly communicate any additional fees for documentation, private certifiers, and/or Local Council requirements. Please note that Development Applications are billed separately from the concept plan and depend on your Local Council’s submission requirements
Once I finalise your design and secure the necessary approvals, we will bring your new space to life. At Serendipity Garden Designs, I work closely with a skilled team of Landscape Contractors to transform your vision into a beautiful garden and outdoor space. Additionally, I will help you engage the right professionals to ensure that your garden design is constructed to the highest standards
